Admissions - Reception to Year 4

We follow the agreed Hertfordshire County Council Admission Policy which likes all children to start school in September.  Parents are very welcome to view the school by making an appointment with the Headteacher.

Current pupil admission number: 60 from Reception to Year 4 (2 form entry).  We currently have spaces in some year groups. 


Nursery Admissions

Roger de Clare C. of E. First School and Nursery is in charge of admissions to Nursery.  We liaise with our friends and colleagues across the Rib Valley with regards to the timings of the admission process.  The admissions process for Nursery places in 2023, opens on Tuesday 1st November 2022 and will run until 15th January 2023.  The policy for admissions can be found below.  The application form will be available here during this window.  

We are able to offer up to 30 hours in our Nursery, subject to eligibility and space.  Our team can support you with this process if you require it.

Tours of the school

We are delighted to offer tours for prospective parents.    Tours will take place on Fridays at 9.30am.  Please contact to book your place.  In the event that tours are oversubscribed, we will seek to offer alternative dates to accommodate need.  In the meantime, click here to see our video.

All forms should be completed before your child starts at Roger de Clare.  If you require hard copies of any forms, please email to request this and organise collection.
